The Xbox Series X is now available at Best Buy (Update: no longer available)

Update April 20, 4:08 PM ET: After several hours of availability, the Xbox Series X offer at Best Buy has gone offline and is no longer for sale. Don’t forget to check the Best Buy app to see if any stores in your area may have available stock for walk-ins.

If you’ve been trying to land an Xbox Series X for a while, today could be your lucky day. Now, Best Buy sells the elusive next-gen console for the usual price of $499.99† In fact, anyone can line up for the Xbox Series X — not just Totaltech subscribers. However, the supply is limited to what your local stores have on hand, so results may vary.

To enter the digital line, you need to click “Add to Cart” and be prepared for Best Buy’s site to ask you to verify your information. To give yourself the best possible chance, log into your account while you’re in the queue and double-check that your shipping and payment information is correct. Also keep in mind that if it seems like the console seems sold out, don’t give up. Best Buy tends to release its shares in waves, so you may have another chance soon.

If you can’t get the console online today, you can also try your local Best Buy. Some locations have inventory available to walk-in customers, and you can check the Best Buy app for local inventory where it’s available.

Accessories for Xbox Consoles

Xbox Wireless Controller

Microsoft’s latest Xbox controller has a share button and a USB-C port, for wired connectivity or charging if you decide to use the optional rechargeable battery.

Xbox Wireless Headset

Don’t miss a call while gaming thanks to Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless Headset, which often sells for $89 instead of the full $100. In our review, we found it to be a comfortable, intuitively designed headset that is well worth its price. In addition to working well with Xbox consoles, it can connect to another device via Bluetooth at the same time.

Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 is the latest of the long-running open world racing game developed by Playground Games. It is an Xbox exclusive title, playable on both Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. The new episode is set in a lusciously detailed Mexico landscape and will feature over 500 cars at launch.
