Amazon Hardware Event liveblog | Custom Hour

When it comes to major hardware events, we tend to think of that one tech company that starts with the letter A. OK, we tend to think of that other tech company that starts with the letter A. Today, that’s company, however, Amazon , which has a pretty big hardware event once a year announcing all sorts of things.

And while this one may not get the same headlines as that other company’s event, we expect a plethora of devices from the ever-expanding Amazon spectrum. speakers. Smart home dishes such as cameras and appliances. Probably some TV-ish stuff. Who knows what else – remember this is the event that gave us things like rolling dog-like robots and drone-like home security cameras. And let’s not forget the Alexa-enabled clocks and microwaves.

How much will be helpful and how much is just…weird? We’ll just have to see. But we have our guesses. (Personally, I’m waiting for a dog-like robot vacuum, which could really happen given Amazon’s trying to buy Roomba.)

This event will not be livestreamed publicly, which is normal for Amazon, but a little weird for a tech company in 2022. But we’ve got the inside track and will bring it all to you as announced.

Watch for our live blog to start a little before noon Eastern time (that’s 9am on the West Coast).
